Coastguard Commander Commodore Ala’ a Abdullah Siyadi patronised today the 8th joint session on the basics of diving which is organised by the Marine Rescue Centre in Muharraq with the participation of 22 officers and staff members from the Interior Ministry and the National Guard.
The Coastguard Commander underlined the command’s resolve to continue organising training sessions in various maritime disciplines, in line with the directives of the Interior Minister and the Public Security Chief.
He added that the session is part of the annual plan to boost the participants’ competence in carrying out the duties assigned with them.
He pointed out that the session will go on for ten weeks during which the participants will learn the basics of diving, how to use the equipment and avoid injuries and how to perform research and rescue operations.
