An Arab League (AL) committee convened on Sunday at the pan-Arab body's headquarters in Cairo to discuss preparations for the meeting of the executive office of the Arab ministers of water, scheduled to kick off on Wednesday in Cairo.
An AL official said the the three-day meetings will follow up the implementation of decisions taken during the recent Arab summits and ways of implementing a strategy to maintain Arab water security.
Arab water ministers will review a draft agreement, which will be signed in Morocco in May over water resources of the Arab countries.
They will discussed also violations committed by Israel in the Syrian Golan, Lebanon and Palestinian territories.
