Situated in Paris's Golden Triangle on the corner of Avenue Montaigne is the legendary L'Avenue restaurant. The luxurious food spot will now cross the Atlantic and settle in New York City to offer a gourmet experience to fashionistas at the Big Apple's Saks Fifth Avenue.
French gastronomy continues its invasion of New York. Jean-Louis Costes, responsible for the establishment of a vast network of renowned restaurants in the French capital, has just partnered with department store Saks Fifth Avenue to bring the flair and experience of L'Avenue to New York's mythical Fifth Avenue.
The historical high-end department store is about to embark on a vast renovation campaign that will begin at the end of the year. New Yorkers should discover a brand new Saks Fifth Avenue as early as mid-2018. The department store plans on assembling trends and tendencies from all over the world, including those in food and taste. To offer a small part of Paris to its customers, the label is bringing Parisian legend L'Avenue and its gourmet expertise to their flagship store.
In the French capital, the restaurant is located in the heart of the fashion district on Avenue Montaigne, and lucky customers dine on balconies overlooking the Champs-Elysees. Tourists flock to the address, hoping to experience glamorous Parisian life over the course of a meal. The hot spot is also a regular hangout for a number of celebrities. In the kitchen, the cuisine is traditional French though many clients frequent the site for its bar.
The Costes family (Jean-Louis, Gilbert and Thierry) has built their fortune in restaurants and hotels. The Beaumarly group owns a number of esteemed addresses like Café Beaubourg, the hotel and brasserie Thoumieux and Castel restaurant and night spot.
