The popular Rivington Bar & Grill is expanding in Dubai with plans to open a second restaurant next year, Jumeirah Restaurants has announced. Dubai’s second Rivington Bar & Grill will open at Souk Madinat Jumeirah in spring 2012, and will be operated by the Jumeirah unit in partnership with Caprice Holdings, it said in a statement on Tuesday. The new restaurant will be spread over three floors and feature a terrace space with 54 covers, it added. Rivington Bar & Grill at Souk Al Bahar was the first of Caprice Holdings’ brands to be launched in Dubai by Jumeirah Restaurants, followed by The Ivy at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, which opened in June. Jumeirah Restaurants managing director Phil Broad said that the success of the original Rivington Grill “has laid the foundation for the brand”. “The back-to-basics British cuisine, using only the highest quality seasonal ingredients at reasonable prices has really hit a chord with both the local, expatriate and tourist communities and I have every confidence in my team to deliver another wonderful restaurant to Dubai’s eating-out market,” said Broad. Jumeirah Restaurants, a division of the Dubai-based hotel group, said earlier this month that it had signed a licence agreement with Ingeo Limited to open eight restaurants in Moscow. A first Noodle House is expected to open in the Russian capital in 2012 and will be followed by seven other restaurants across the city. The Noodle House has already proven to be a success with 17 restaurants open in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Riyadh, Kuwait, Cairo, Limassol, Doha, and Lahore. Jumeirah Restaurants' portfolio includes The Noodle House, Sana Bonta, Urbano, AllFreshCo, Rice plus Spice and The Flaming Revolution.
