Jamaican-influenced burger company Boom Burger will open its first permanent restaurant at 272 Portobello Road on 18 February. Offering both a dine?in and take?away service, the new venue will offer the chance to enjoy Head Chef and founder Josh De Lisser’s Jamaican take on the burger experience. Plantain fries are served alongside the standard potato variety, house mayo is spiced with Scotch Bonnet chillies, while the traditional chicken burger is replaced by a Jerk Burger, complete with papaya and mango sauce and fried plantain. Seating approximately 24 diners, the restaurant will be open six days a week and will be operating a soft opening period from 18-26 February, before a full opening on 27 February.
