Bahrain restaurant operator SunCity Ventures plans to open at least 24 outlets across the Gulf in the next four years, a spokesperson for the company said. The franchise partner for Gloria Jean’s Coffees, The Yellow Chili and Italian chain Vapiano said it plans to open three outlets in its home market by the year-end, followed by a further 14 by 2015 “The market is growing slowly, but we believe that it will get better in the future,” a spokesperson for the company said. “We want to increase awareness of our brand names, and also to boost the profitability of our products in Bahrain and the rest of the Gulf.” SunCity, which also operates homegrown brand Zayt Zatyoon, said it will roll out seven restaurants in Kuwait over the next four years and is mulling further openings across the Gulf.
