Family Vacation Critic, TripAdvisor's dedicated family travel site, has given over 500 hotels around the world its ultimate family-friendly seal of approval.
In order to scoop a Family Vacation Critic Favorite Hotels Award, an establishment has to have been personally vetted and visited by the company, hold a four- or five-star review rating and also must have achieved at least a 75% recommendation rating by families.
"These winners represent hotels that truly excel as family-friendly properties," explains Lissa Poirot, editor-in-chief of Family Vacation Critic. "Because awards are only given to hotels that receive a high rating from both our team of experts and family travelers who have stayed at the property, the Family Vacation Critic Favorite Hotels designation offers parents a credible stamp of approval to use when searching for the perfect hotel for their family."
The top rated European hotel for families is the Merrion Hotel, in Dublin, Ireland while the top establishment for those heading to the Caribbean is the Caribbean Club in the Cayman Islands.
The full list of winners, which can be viewed on the site, is broken down into 15 categories covering the US, the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe but does not include hotels in Asia, Africa or Oceania.
