Travelport has appointed seasoned industry professional, Alexandra Fitzpatrick, as its new General Manager for the Pacific region. Based in Travelport’s regional HQ in Sydney, Fitzpatrick will be charged with driving the company’s overall growth across the region and supporting the regional deployment of new and innovative Travelport technology to customers. Fitzpatrick has a wealth of international experience and a strong track record in the travel industry gained through a number of leadership roles in high profile organisations. Most recently, she has been the London-based Director for TMS (Travel Management Solutions) - an Australian organisation which provides travel management and procurement services to corporate customers and the government sector. Earlier in her career, she worked for Galileo both in product management and as Director of Distributor Sales. Before that, she spent time in a strategic role at Sabre and also worked for IATA in Geneva with responsibility for their BSP operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has also owned and operated two award-winning hotels, one under the Best Western brand. Reporting into Simon Nowroz, Travelport’s President and Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Fitzpatrick will take up her new role in Sydney on 9 July 2012.
