Red Sea hotel occupancy rates have climbed to 79 percent during the first half of September.
A statement released by the Red Sea Governorate's City Hall Tourism Administration said the number of tourist nights in the Red Sea governorate reached 119,755 with an occupancy rate put at 78.91 percent.
Hurghada ranked first with the number of tourism nights put at 75,843, with a rising rate of 80.51 percent.
The statement said that most tourists who spent their vacation at Hurghada tourist resorts are coming from Germany, Russia, while tourists in the south and Mersa Alam resorts are coming from Germany, Italy and UK.
