Fashion brand Lulu Guinness and the Joseph Steele have partnered to present the Lulu Guinness Paint Project. To coincide with an invitation-only live launch party on 11 July (see DIARY dates), Lulu Guinness is bringing out a limited edition collection of 180 unique clutch bags, each signed and numbered by Steele and Lulu herself. The creative process, using Steele’s innovative technique whereby paint is exploded across the canvas – in this case the bags themselves - will be documented in a conceptual film to be screened online via the brand’s website and installed in Lulu Guinness store windows on digital screens. Priced at £295 and available to purchase in stores and online from 12 July, each piece is simultaneously an original work of art as well as a versatile fashion accessory. The Hug and Hold clutch will come in Lulu’s trademark black, red and stone hues, each one individually adorned with Steele’s signature paint splatters in contrasting tones.
