Sandra Bullock wore a special pair of shoes on the red carpet Saturday.
The 50-year-old actress donned Minions-inspired heels at the movie's premiere at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Bullock voices villain Scarlet Overkill in Universal Pictures film.
"I'm always in a minion state of mind," she told USA Today at the event. "It's impossible for people to understand me. I'm constantly making odd sounds and things are always a disaster where I am. But somehow, I always get out alive. I'm basically a minion."
The custom Rupert Sanderson shoes are modeled after the tiny yellow creatures and will be auctioned off for charity. Bullock told Entertainment Tonight all proceeds will go to Art + Practice, a non-profit which "encourages education and culture by providing life-skills training for foster youth."
Minions opens in theaters July 10, and also features the voices of Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Steve Coogan, Geoffrey Rush and Pierre Coffin, who co-directed the movie with Kyle Balda. The film is a prequel and spinoff to Despicable Me (2010) and Despicable Me 2 (2013).
Bullock last appeared in Alfonso Cuaron sci-fi thriller Gravity with George Clooney, and is scheduled for Our Brand is Crisis. The film is based on Rachel Boynton's documentary of the same name, and follows the impact of American political campaign tactics on the 2002 Bolivian election.
