Rosamund Pike at the Jack Reacher premier London – Caroline Kent Tom Cruise and Rosamund Pike attended the world premiere of Jack Reacher at the Odeon Leicester Square yesterday in London, England. Jack Reacher follows a murder investigator as he digs deep into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims. British actress Rosamund lifted the spirits of a cold crowd of supporters in a buttercup yellow Alexander McQueen dress as snow fell across much of London. The former Bond girl styled her backless, sleeveless number simply; with natural make-up and softly swept hair- the epitome of English rose. However, it evoked some observation from fashion critics because, beautiful as it may be, the dress lacked the Alexander McQueen edge. One high-profile stylist who doesn’t wish to be named assessed it to Arabstoday as “borderline generic”. The Spring/Summer13 collection that this dress was plucked from went down a storm at fashion week after head designer Sarah Burton came in to her own with a highly original honey-bee theme. Burton told press back stage after the show: "I was bringing back the silhouette of the house and embracing the female form - the hip and bust. But there was a lightness to it. It still felt erotic but not overt," a sentiment which surely permeates through Pike’s interpretation on the red carpet. Stunning but lacking or a ray of sunshine: what’s your verdict? The film opens in theaters worldwide on December 21.
