All eyes were on Palestinian-Dutch model Bella Hadid as she smiled, danced and posed for pictures with fans and bloggers at Dior’s makeup event at The Dubai Mall on Wednesday.
Although Hadid might not have caused quite the same social media buzz as her elder sister Gigi Hadid, who was also in Dubai recently, the model, in a trench coat-like navy dress, did manage to be the center of attention for some time at the mall.
As an ambassador of luxury brand Dior, Hadid joined members of the Dior team to unveil the “Dior, The Art Of Color” exhibition.
The exhibit will be open to the public at the mall’s Fashion Catwalk Atrium from April 15 to April 23.
A discussion on the creative processes and the history of Dior Beauty in the project also took place.
Peter Philips, the current image and creative director of Christian Dior make-up, accompanied Hadid.
The Hadid sisters were born to a Palestinian-American father and a Dutch-American mother. They have both expressed pride in their Middle Eastern heritage.
“My dad was always religious, and he always prayed with us. I am proud to be a Muslim,” Hadid recently said.
The 20-year-old model signed with Dior as an ambassador in May last year after months of speculation. Her first campaign released on March 1 this year.
Hadid will be returning to The Dubai Mall between 4.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Thursday.
