Young singer Rugby is preparing for the launch of his debut album, a first-time effort that was three years in the making. The album, called Tell Her That I Love Her, features 11 songs taking in a range of musical styles including rock, divisor and dramatic pop. Collaborations with poet Ahmed Subhi produced nine songs on the record, while Rugby self-penned With You and Darling. “I wanted to use the album to come up with new ideas in different forms,” Rugby told Arabstoday. “That’s why the album was later than expected – we were looking for the right mix.” Tell Her That I Love Her, released by Melody, will hit Egyptian and Arab record stores soon.
