America’s 14th official idol Nick Fradiani’s new life begins today after walking away with the title last night in the season finale where he squared off with Clark Beckhm.
Apparently, America choose the Guildford, Connecticut singer, who is no amateur to the stage. As a professional performer, Fradiani’s fate was sealed from the beginning with young girls and old ladies across the land voting for the the-29-year Italian hunk , who chalks it all up to timing.
With a 30-year-old audition cut-off, and unknowingly the second to last year of the show that announced its cancellation after next year, Fradiani was noted as the underdog.
“Nobody had me pegged as the winner. I wasn’t doing anything that was really impressing people,” he said to Entertainment Weekly. Then something clicked the last six weeks or so. I just got hot at the right time.”
