The U.S. supernatural series "Under the Dome" will return for a second season in the summer of 2014, CBS said Monday. The announcement of a 13-episode sophomore season was made by Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment. Stephen King, whose bestselling novel is the basis for the series, will write the premiere episode of the second season, the network said. "We're excited to tell more stories about the mystery of the dome and the secrets in Chester's Mill, and are thrilled to have the master storyteller himself, Stephen King, tell the first one of next season," Tassler said in a statement. The show is about what happens when a small town is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome.
