Selfie fans... rejoice!
Unaired episodes of the canceled ABC comedy will air on streaming service Hulu. The first of six will be released Tuesday, with one to follow per week for the next five weeks. Series creator Emily Kapnek announced the news Monday on Twitter.
Selfie premiered Sept. 30, and was canceled Nov. 7. The sitcom debuted to 5.3 million viewers, but viewership fell to 3.23 million the week of its cancellation. Romantic comedy Manhattan Love Story was also given the axe.
Selfie stars Karen Gillan as Eliza Dooley, a young woman obsessed with achieving fame through social media platforms such as Facebook. The character seeks help from marketing rep Henry Higgs (John Cho) after she realizes the Internet isn't a substitute for real friendship.
Gillan is known for portraying Amy Pond on BBC series Doctor Who and Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy. Cho starred as Harold Lee in the Harold & Kumar films and Hikaru Sulu in the Star Trek reboot movies, and is a regular on Fox drama Sleepy Hollow.
