Andy Samberg is to star in "Cuckoo," a six-part British comedy series co-starring Greg Davies and Helen Baxendale, the BBC announced. Samberg's character is described as a "square-jawed, self-appointed spiritual ninja" and "every parent's worst nightmare." "The best of British meets the toast of Hollywood," EW.com quoted "Cuckoo" executive producer Ash Atalla as saying in a statement. "We hope 'Cuckoo' cements the special relationship between our two great countries. I imagine [President Barack] Obama and [U.K. Prime Minister David] Cameron will be watching closely." EW.com said the show is being taped this summer and will air later this year. Samberg recently wrapped a seven-year stint on "Saturday Night Live." He can now be seen in the movie "That's My Boy."
