Rosie O'Donnell has been booked as a guest on "The View" seven years after leaving the New York chat show where she briefly served as a co-host, Variety said. O'Donnell is to appear on the Feb. 7 edition of ABC's "The View" to promote her recurring role on the ABC Family program, "The Fosters," the report said. The appearance will mark her first on the show since she moderated its 2006-07 season, frequently sparring with conservative guests and Republican co-host Elisabeth Hassebleck. "I have great affection for Rosie and we have remained in contact throughout the years. I am happy to welcome her back to the program. She is always a lively and engaging guest and a part of the show's successful history," "View" creator and co-host Barbara Walters said in a statement Monday. Since O'Donnell's stint as moderator on the show, Hasselbeck and Joy Behar have gone on to other projects. O'Donnell's only co-hosts still with the program are Walters and Sherri Shepherd. Whoopi Goldberg and Jenny McCarthy joined "The View" after O'Donnell left.
