Lebanese singer and artist Nicole Saba, revealed the secret that made her accept the role of introducing “Al Tofaha” (The Apple) which is now broadcast exclusively by “Dream” satellite channel, she confirmed that the crew of the program wanted to introduce something new and different, the thing that attracted her so much was because she found the idea of “Al Tofaha” vague as it can be taken as Ramadan’s apple, Adam’s apple and the fruit itself. Nicole told Arabstoday in an exclusive interview that the nature of the program depended on asking questions relating to humanities, political views and many other things so audiences did not find it a “tough” program as she described it. In contrast, her performance, her distinct spontaneity and being normal she said makes the program so smooth especially as she did not want to be restricted by the role of interviewer when she was interviewing her guests. Nicole said that she used the internet before some episodes, in case that she don’t know the guest personally, she said “If my guest is a character that I do not know, I might use the internet to research. This happened with sport interviewer Dr. Alaa Sadeq who I did not know, so I used the internet to collect information about him, and his episode was great. The Lebanese star confirmed she was afraid when the program was offered to her, and said: “my fear this time was double the fear I felt when I received offers for other programs, especially as it was an entertainment programs. The introducing part was not what I was afraid of as I’m sure it will be easy, but to interview a guest for an entire episode, this requires a special preparation and this is what I did in all the episodes”. When we asked her about if some guest demanded conditions before recording the episode, she confirmed that this did not happen at all, she said “none of the guests put conditions on the crew of the program. This is shown by that most of the guests came to the program not knowing anything but that it is a “talk show”. We even record the episodes as if we are live. She added, “of course, I can’t forget Shereen’s episode and her daughter Mariam, as her daughter’s appearance was a special thing, as it was the first time she appeared on TV, which is considered a positive point for me and the crew of the program.” Nicole has a new song and video “Hafdal Ahlam” (I’ll keep dreaming). When arabstoday asked about the new track she stated “I bet that this song will have success and I think it is the best thing I’ve made. Although this song tends to be a more fast-paced dance song, it is not in any dance shows at all, and I am doing it in a different way and I hope audiences will like it.” “the song lyrics calls for hope. It will have the same nature as my other songs in calling to not giving up hope in life and self-confidence. The fans are used to hearing me introducing ideas like this in my songs.
