CBS plans to air a New Orleans-set spinoff to its hit investigative series "NCIS" and "NCIS: LA," Deadline.com reported. The latest addition to the franchise will start out as a two-part episode to air this spring. If it is well-received, it could become a new series, EW.com said. "The NCIS New Orleans office handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle," a synopsis said. "New Orleans with its rich setting of music, fun and debauchery is a magnet for military personnel on-leave. And with fun comes trouble. It is a natural backdrop for a unique character-driven spinoff." No casting has yet been announced.
