Kevin Hart will host a Justin Bieber roast for Comedy Central on March 30.
The network announced the news Monday on Twitter, writing, "Ladies & gentleman, your #BieberRoast Roast Master is KevinHart4Real! You ready, @JustinBieber?" The 35-year-old comedian and 20-year-old singer immediately bantered back and forth, with Bieber urging Hart to bring his best.
"@ComedyCentral @KevinHart4real haha. Yes!!! Only person that made sense. Ok Kev...bring it! Lol #BieberRoast," the pop star goaded. "Oh don't you worry @justinbieber it will be brought ..... #BieberRoast ....Good luck my friend," the comedian responded.
"I don't normally do roasts but I had to step out for my guy Biebs. It's his big 21. It's about to be operation roast everyone's ass," Hart said in a press release. Original programming president Kent Alterman added, "They say only a good friend would verbally eviscerate another good friend for all his vulnerabilities. Kevin Hart is a very good friend."
Bieber made entertainment news in 2014 for his arrests and general bad behavior. The singer was voted worst celebrity neighbor on Zillow, and was mocked for his Calvin Klein underwear ads in January. He recently apologized for his "arrogant" behavior, and explained the gesture later on Ellen.
Hart came to fame as a stand up comedian, and also pursued a career in acting. He portrayed Luke on Fox sitcom Undeclared, and subsequently appeared in such films as Scary Movie 3, Ride Along and About Last Night. His comedy specials include Kevin Hart: Laugh at My Pain and Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain.
