Author and TV personality Jenny McCarthy is in talks to be a co-host of "The View" in New York, UsMagazine.com said Friday. "The cast and crew get a kick out of Jenny," a set source told the celebrity news outlet. "She's a good fit. She may not be able to carry a show, but she works well with a group ensemble." "She is in serious talks right now," a second insider added. "Her show isn't quite working out, so she's definitely open to it." McCarthy, 40, is currently the host of VH1's "The Jenny McCarthy Show." She also is a frequent guest co-host on "The View." "The View" panelists Joy Behar and Barbara Walters have both announced they are leaving the show, while Elisabeth Hasselbeck has long been rumored to be departing, as well. Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd have said they intend to stay on the show.
