Fox has unveiled the first look of The Closer star Kyra Sedgwick in her upcoming Brooklyn Nine-Nine character.
The 49-year-old star in set to play Deputy Chief Madeline Wuntch in a two-episode arc of the series beginning October 5.
In a still image revealed by TV Guide Thursday, Sedgwick appears in uniform staring straight into Captain Raymond "Ray" Holt's (Andre Braugher) eyes. The two are longtime rivals.
"Kyra brings so much presence and gravitas to the role -- exactly the traits needed to stand off against Andre Braugher," says executive producer Dan Goor. "And she pitched one of the funniest flashbacks that we've ever done!"
Brooklyn Nine Nine returns for its second season on September 28.
