Egyptian actor Yehia el-Fakharany has revealed to Arabstoday that he is to co-star with Nour Ee-Sherif in a new TV series “Jahin”, based on the biography of the poet Salah Jahin. Fakharany will be playing the title role and Nour will play the role of Foad Hadad. The actor mentioned that late Egyptian superstar Ahmed Zaki had dreamed of making a movie based on Salah Jahin, to be produced by Zaki himself, but he didn’t get the time to do it. Fakharany added that he decided to turn it into a TV series because of its wide-ranging stories that represent one of the most important eras in Egypt. Yousef Maaty is the writer of the show. El-Fakharany is now busy filming “Al-Khawaga Abdul Kader” that is expected to be released in Ramadan.
