Grammy Award-winning U.S. recording artist CeeLo Green is to star in the new reality show "The CeeLo Life," TBS announced Friday. The cable television network said it has ordered six episodes of the unscripted series, which will follow Green "as he tackles not only a packed schedule of producing, recording and performing, but also a creative partnership with his longtime best friends -- Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo -- as they prepare to bring their legendary hip-hop group Goodie Mob back to the world stage." The series is to premiere on TBS in 2014. "With his distinctive voice, winning personality and remarkable ability to tap into a wide range of musical styles, CeeLo Green has risen to the top of the music industry," Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement. "This new TBS series will give viewers the chance to get to know CeeLo Green, who is without a doubt one of the hardest working men in show business. The CeeLo Life is certain to be a smart, fun and funny journey packed with a lot of great music."
