"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" writer-producer Marti Noxon is in talks to make a women's divorce comedy for U.S. cable channel Showtime, a trade newspaper reports. The semi-autobiographical, half-hour "Guide to Divorce" would depict the liberating relief, emotional minefield, familial complications and sexual exploration that come with divorce after a long-term relationship, The Hollywood Reporter said. The story, which Noxon would write and co-executive-produce, would be told from the perspective of four women in their 40s, the newspaper said. There was no word on whether the show would get accepted or when the premium channel envisions airing it. Other executive producers listed are Dawn Olmstead of Fox Broadcasting Co.'s serial drama "Prison Break"; Meryl Poster, who was executive producer of the 2002 film "Chicago" and 1999's "The Cider House Rules," and model-writer-lawyer Vicki Iovine, author of "The Girlfriends' Guides" and "Best Friends' Guides" series of books. Noxon, 47, is well known for writing episodes for such series as AMC's "Mad Men," ABC's medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" and Fox's musical comedy-drama "Glee," which she joined last season and said in a Twitter message June 4 she wouldn't return to this coming season.
