Bob Barker will return to television in an upcoming episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. The 90-year-old game show legend hosted The Price is Right from 1972 to 2007 on CBS. He signed off each episode with an entreaty to "Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered," and his Bold and the Beautiful cameo will highlight his love for animals. Barker will appear as himself on the daytime soap opera as part of a three-day arc about animal rescue. He interviews with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) about pet population control, and instructs Spencer to visit a local animal shelter with Hope Logan (Kim Matula). Animal trainer and Lucky Dog host Brandon McMillan meets Spencer and Logan at the shelter. "In keeping with our commitment to spotlight real-life Los Angeles heroes, we are focusing this story arc on the work of animal care and rescue in our city's shelters," executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell says. "Bob is a highly respected advocate for animal rights and is an instrumental player in the storyline." The Bob Barker Bold and the Beautiful episode airs Wednesday, April 30.
