Ann Curry told USA Today she is preparing to announce she will no longer be a "Today" show co-host, but an anchor-at-large and NBC News correspondent. Rumors about Curry's ouster as co-anchor of the morning program have been swirling since last week. Low ratings and a lack of chemistry with co-anchor Matt Lauer have been cited as reasons for her firing from the post. She is expected to announce her "Today" exit and new role at NBC Thursday morning, the newspaper said. Curry told USA Today Thursday is "going to be a bit of a tough day." "I'm going to have to tell our viewers. That's what makes me more emotional than anything. I don't want to leave them. I love them. And I will really miss them." Curry succeeded Meredith Vieira as co-host alongside Lauer a little more than a year ago.
