ABC has renewed its 49-year-old US soap opera "General Hospital" for another season, Deadline reported. The network canceled its long-running daytime dramas "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" last year to make way for the new lifestyle programs "The Chew" and "The Revolution." Deadline said ABC has canceled "The Revolution" and plans to replace it will an hour-long show called "GMA in the Afternoon," which will run for nine weeks, then be replaced by Katie Couric's new syndicated talk show, "Katie," starting Sept. 10.
