Roberto Colciago stormed to a fine victory in the weekend’s opening race of the TCR international series, being held in support of the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
Driving a Honda CIVIC Type-R TCR, Colciago completed the nine-lap sprint in a total race time of 20 minutes 15.241 seconds.
He finished 5.502 seconds ahead of runner-up Hugo Velente, while Jean-Karl Vernay completed the podium in third 7.637s from the victor.
Race two will be held on Sunday, starting at 1pm.
