South Korean figure skater Kim Na-hyun withdrew from the International Skating Union (ISU) Four Continents Championships on Saturday due to a "medical reason", casting a doubt on her participation in the upcoming Asian Winter Games.
Kim finished 17th in the short program with 45.95 points on Thursday and was scheduled to skate sixth among 23 competitors in women's free skating later Saturday.
But the ISU said the 17-year-old decided to withdraw after the short program as there is inflammation in her ankles.
Kim had been included in the South Korean team for the Asian Winter Games which open here on Sunday. She had also planned to take part in the World Championships in Finland next month.
