HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Honourary President of the Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) has hailed the achievement made by "Al Taweel" after winning ADCOP, an IPIC Investment Cup which was held as part of tonight's Meydan' horse races.
Trained by Fawzi Nass, Al Taweel was ridden by Adrie De Vries who powered the horse over the finish line in first place, beating a competition by a pool of elite participants.
HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the result reflects the advanced level of the equestrian and endurance sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain thanks to the constant support and backing of HM the King, without whom the significant accomplishments made in this field wouldn't have been possible. HH Shaikh Nasser underscored that such accomplishments have contributed in cementing Bahrain's high position on the sports map at the global level. He congratulated jockey De Vries and trainer Fawzi Nass on this achievement, wishing them more successes in the future.
HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, praised the result of Al Taweel during the Dubai Horse Races, underlining Bahrain's wise Leadership and HH Shaikh Nasser's continuous follow-up to the equestrian and endurance sports, which have played a significant role in securing top honours.
Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Endurance Committee of BREEF, also congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Rashid on the achievement of Al Taweel.
It's worth noting that Al Taweel edged second-placed Vivernus to bag first place, while Tradesman placed in third. Receiving the Cup was Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa and trainer Fawzi Nass.
