The Competitions Committee of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF) held its second meeting today.The meeting, which was chaired by Hameed Al Sheibani, in the presence of the committee members, adopted Gulf cup regulations to be a fixed list for all Gulf Championships. The meeting underscored the completion of secretaries' committee and transferred its function to Gulf federation and its various committees.
The meeting discussed the approval of the two Gulf clubs champions league and cup championships in 2020, and discussed the proposal to give more attention to the U17 and U19 championships. AGCFF Chairman Hameed Al Sheibani said that the draw of Gulf 23 will be held in Doha 90 days ahead the championship, and that Qatar Football Association will announce the date of the draw.
He added that the committee submitted a proposal to the Executive Office to hold the championship in two groups if the absence of the Kuwaiti team is confirmed, hoping that the suspension of the Kuwait's football association will be lifted by the International Football Association (FIFA) so that the Kuwaiti team can participate in the championship.
AGCFF Chairman unveiled that the prizes of the tournament, saying the winning team will receive QR3.65 million, while the runner-up team will get QR1.825 million.
