Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy on Thursday said a new framework of any climate change deal should cope with demands of sustainable development in the developing nations.
The minister made his comments during a ministerial meeting of the 20th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Lima, Peru.
The minister tackled the financial support to climate change projects.
Fahmy said the financial support of 100 billion dollars did not meet the aspirations of the developing nations for funding the Green Climate Fund.
The fund is designed to help poor countries adapt to climate change.
The conference brings together leaders from over 190 countries with an aim to hammer out a new international climate change deal ahead of key talks in Paris next year.
