The UAE economy will witness a remarkable growth in the next six years, thanks to the outcomes of national strategy for innovation, according to Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri.
"A key target of the UAE Vision for 2021 is to place the country among the top 20 nations in the Global Innovation Index. The positive prospects for a remarkable economic growth in the next six years is the outcome of the national strategy for innovation," he said.
Al Mansouri made the remarks yesterday while touring the 'Think Science Fair 2015,' at the World Trade Centre. The fair, held under the patronage of Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, is pioneered by The Emirates Foundation and is designed to help develop knowledge and learning in the field of science and technology.
Al Mansouri said it was important that government and private sectors continue their support to innovation by allocating more resources for research and development activities.
