Egyptian Ambassador to South Africa Sharif Nagiub on Thursday underlined the strong scientific relations between Egypt and South Africa.
Speaking to MENA reporter, the diplomat said Egypt and South Africa has started scientific cooperation since they entered into an agreement on August 26, 1997.
New research projects were proposed during the 8th round of a joint scientific committee that convened in Pretoria on March 17-19, 2010, he said, adding that seven projects were implemented before December 1, 2013.
In April, Egypt's minister of higher education took part in the joint committee's meeting held in South Africa, the ambassador said.
