Egyptian tour guide Engy Jamal said that there is a kind of tourism that international tourism companies have begun to take care of, which is climbing tourism, saying that climbing before was based on the mountains, but today the climbing of the highlands either the world's largest buildings or archaeological buildings.
She added, in a statement to ”Al Maghrib Today", that a group of climbers reside several performances around the world and people go to see a vivid climbing experience, such as the one that took place with one of the Eiffel Tower climbers in France.
She added that there are a group of countries that invite tourists for visit to practice climbing, including Mexico and Cuba, and that there are schools also teach how to climb professionally, taking into account the acquisition of new capabilities of the climber to save his life in the event of danger.
For Arab countries, she said, there is no demand for this type of tourism because of the lack of specialists in access to a safe climb for tourists, adding that if the Arab countries work on this type of tourism, they would achieve notable progress because of the beautiful mountainous areas including Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
