Lebanese singer Wael Jassar said that his call to high-profile singer George Wassof to retire does not aim to insult the Lebanese artist, while to keep his position as one of the major figures in the Arab singing arena. He expressed his appreciation to Wassof’s achievements since the beginning of his career saying that he is considered one of the most popular singers in the Arab arena.
He added, in a statement to “Al Maghrib Today” that he received a question and answered it, saying that he does not violate against any of his colleagues. He blamed the media platforms that used his statement to drive a wedge between him and Wasoof.
The singer revealed that he prepares currently for conducting a visit to Syrian during the coming period to participate in a singing concert, saying that it is not the first time for him to visit Syria. He stressed that the art is not limited to one faction but it is owned by all people.
