Lebanese singer Wael Jassar confirmed his withdrawal from the concert, which was scheduled to be held at a resort in Sharm el-Sheikh, due to non-compliance with the terms of the contract with him.
Jassar said, in phone call with Arabs Today, he withdrew from the concert and will not sing due to non-compliance with the terms of the contract with him. "The contract provided for a artistic evening for the Radio and Television Union in Egypt, but I was surprised that the whole deal with me had changed and it was not clear," he added.
"I informed that singer Angham also withdrew, and I demanded my rights that I did not get as is agreed with the body that is negotiating with me, so it was better to withdraw also," Jassar stated.
The singer Angham announced her withdrawal on her official account on Twitter: "An important announcment: Due to the lack of commitment of the organizer of the Radio and Television Union's concert in Sharm El-Sheikh in terms of sending air tickets, paying the salaries of musicians and artists and providing accommodation and concert's permits as agreed, so we will not be able to travel to attend the concert, and this is an explanation on our part".
