Syrian singer Asala Nasry revealed that she will return to Lebanese capital of Beirut during the coming days to participate as a guest of honor in Biaf Festival which honors the artistic icons in all over the Arab world.
She denied the accusations against her of possessing cocaine, saying that she does not know how the material reached to her handbag. She stressed that it is not logic for her to sacrifice her popularity in all over the Arab work for exercising such illegal activity.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that a number of newspapers used the incident to smear her image before the fans, saying that they adopted and created rumors targeting her, saying that most of what was published over the incident was unfounded rumors.
She added, “It is not logic to commit such a violation. It is not logic to lose my popularity in such way. What happened was a part of campaign targeting me. It was a conspiracy against me. I appreciate the Lebanese authorities for their understanding.”
