After consecutive successes of a number of Iraqi actors to prove theie talents in the Egyptian cinema, including Bahjat Al Jabory and Bassem Al Qahar, the Iraqi actor Shamam Al Hassan will take the same experience with a new TV drama show entitled "Forced Choice".
The series, directed by Magdy Al Samiry, is presented currently by an Egyptian satellite channel. It adds a new experience to the Iraqi actor who turned to storm the drama in different Arab countries, including Lebanon and Syria.
Hassan said that the new series discusses the dilemma of social media that became a major part of our lives. It presents its negative and positive sides in different ways.
He said that he is a guest of honour in the Egyptian series, saying that he performs the role of a mafia man working in smuggling money. He added, "What provoked me in this role that it is unprecedented for me. I exerted a lot of efforts to deliver such a personality in its right image."
He underlined the importance of performing new roles for any actor, saying that it is not the first time to perform the negative roles, while this role is completely different from his previous roles.
He praised the Egyptian drama, saying that such experience will strongly enrich his career, highlighting the difference between working in Egypt's drama and his other previous experiences in all arround the Arab world.
In the beginning, Hassan adds, he was keen to contact with scenarist Haden Metawly to know the different details of the personality and to draw its image. He stressed that his performance came as a result of their sessions.
He added, "It was terrifying experience in the beginning, as it was the first time to deal with Egyptian staff." He praised the professional way they deal with their dramatic works.
The Iraqi actor revealed that he prepares for a new Egyptian movie and another TV show, saying that he started his career as a model when he was living in Syria in 2003.
He praised the role performed by Director Ayman Zidan to support him in the beginning of his career, saying that he pushed him to participate in a number of shows in Syrian and Lebanon
