It's taken two long years but a Dubai segment of celebrity socialite Paris Hilton's hit TV series is now on air internationally, but not in the UAE, yet. Paris Hilton's Dubai BFF, the fourth season of the hugely successful franchise, was shot in 2009 across the city for 17 days. In the show, Hilton puts 20 wannabe BFFs or "best friends forever" through a series of tests to test their loyalty, and selects one lucky winner in the climax filmed in Los Angeles. While the US shows often feature a mix of men and women, the contestants for the Dubai show were all women. The release of the show however hit a stumbling block after producers Uniqon Emirates and its contractor V Productions Abu Dhabi got embroiled in a law suite regarding payment. V Productions subsequently released a statement last year saying it had won the suit. The Dubai BFF show has already aired on MTV's franchises in Latin America, France, Germany and Australia and is also scheduled to premiere in the UK soon. No information is available for MTV Arabia's schedule. Hilton Monday tweeted a link to the trailer of the Dubai show, saying: "Huge. Love Dubai".
