Artist Madleen Matar said she will not be reconciling with fellow artist Marwan Khoury after their public heated exchange of words in media and press conversations. As for her thoughts on Marwan’s comments regarding the situation between the two of them she said: “If he’s upset with me then that’s up to him and it makes no difference to me at all. It doesn’t concern me.” Khoury said that Madleen’s comments about him which led to them not working together were shameful; after she claimed: “Marwan verbally attacked me and called me a liar, and I cannot describe how much he hurt me by saying that; but I don’t want to talk about this, I’m not really in disagreement with him, but I just wouldn’t work with him again.” Madleen said that she is currently working on her new album, which she will be funding with her own money, as she has not been signed up with a productions company yet despite the numerous offers she has received recently. However, she said that she prefers paying for her own productions because it gives her the freedom to pick the songs and music that she wants. According to her, the album will include songs sung by her in the Egyptian, Lebanese, and Gulf accents, and there will be a surprise song for the late composer Riyad Alhamshari, titled “If that makes you happy.” The album will be released in the winter. As for the summer Madleen will only come out with a single titled “Tired,” written by Monir Bou Assaf, composed by Hisham Bouls, and distributed by Bilal Alzain; the single will also have its own video clip. Matar is also currently preparing for her acting role as Egyptian artist Houda Sultan; which will not be performed by Hind Rostom as rumored.
