Actress Lamitta Frangieh asked sitcom director Michael Baouh for a two week break till the situation settles in Egypt. Frangieh, who works on the popular sitcom ‘Hafeed Ezz’ (Grandson of Ezz), has beenliving in a hotel off Tahrir Square found and has therefore decided to remain in her native Beirut until as she feels unsafe in Cairo. Lamitta plays the role of an “anchor” in the series, which stars Ashraf Abdel Baky, Maha Abu Ouf, Merihan Hussein, Lotfy Labib, Edward, and Ragaa el-Geddawy. The series is written by Joseph Fawzy and directed by Michael Baouh, produced by Dana Production and CMB. The events revolve around “Ezz”, a thirty five year old married anchorman, whose grandfather dies while Omar Suleiman throws the stepping down speech, before revealing the place of the treasure he left him. Thus, Ezz’s journey of looking for his legacy begins. “Hafeed Ezz” is scheduled to air in Ramadan 2012. It is a project that Ashraf Abdel Baky agreed to participate in last year, and was scheduled to start shooting in preparation for last Ramadan.
