The cast and crew of the new television drama “Tali’ Al Fidah” are currently filming the scenes for the drama that relate to the historical area in Damascus with the same name. The events in the drama take place from 1914-1920, when people of different religions lived together in one place. According to the internet website MBC.net, director of the drama, Sayf El Din Subay’ie, said that the social drama portrays an accurate image of life in Damascus in the past, when Muslims, Christians and Jews lived together peacefully in one neighborhood. The religious unity that the drama reflects on is based on historical facts and shows how people in the past treated one another without any religious prejudices. The drama stars prominent Syrian actor Abbas Al Nouri, who also wrote a large portion of the script with the assistance of his wife Anoud Al Khaled. Syrian actor Saloum Haddad will also take part in the drama along with Rafeeq Subay’ee and Jamal Suleiman, who will appear as a guest of honor.
