US television network NBC said Thursday it is organizing a concert to benefit victims of megastorm Sandy, with appearances planned by rock legends including Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel. Proceeds from the show, to be broadcast Friday on channels owned by NBC and on the Internet, will be donated to the American Red Cross to help those affected by Sandy as it plowed through the US northeast on Monday and Tuesday. Headliners will include Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi -- both famously from storm-struck New Jersey -- and Joel, from hard-hit Long Island. Christina Aguilera and Sting are also slated to perform.
