Actors Jude Law and Michael Gambon are to be honored at next month's British Independent Film Awards ceremony in London, organizers said. Gambon is to be presented with The Richard Harris Award, while The Variety Award is to go to Law. Johanna von Fischer and Tessa Collinson, joint directors of the awards ceremony, made the announcement Tuesday. Gambon joins a list of Harris award winners that includes John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, Daniel Day-Lewis, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes. Gambon played Dumbledore in the "Harry Potter" movie series, a role Harris originated before his death in 2002. His film credits include "Sleepy Hollow," Gosford Park" and "The King's Speech." Law's film credits include "Hugo," "The Road To Perdition" and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." The 15th annual BIFA presentation is to take place Dec. 9.
