The 27th Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts continues on Monday, with a 'Jordanian Evening' at the South Theatre. Performances by the Alexandria, Kosovo, Chinese and Petra bands are also scheduled at others venues in the city, 48km north of the capital. Egyptian singer Sherine and members of the Reda Folkloric Troupe performed at the South and North theatres of the ancient city of Jerash on Saturday. The festival, which runs through July 14, features music and dance performances by prominent artists from Jordan, the Arab region and beyond. The festival will also include poetry recitals, seminars, art exhibitions, performances and workshops in Jerash and at the Royal Cultural Centre in the capital. As part of the festival, Ramadan Nights will be held at the Royal Cultural Centre from July 23 until July 29. A total of 115 performers, bands and troupes will take part in the festival and Ramadan Nights.
