Britney all excited to perform in Abu Dhabi

Singer seems to be unaware Sex and the City 2 was shot in Morocco, not in the UAE.Dubai: The producers of Sex and the City 2 may have only been playing pretend when they set their film in Abu Dhabi, but it seems like the fake sets were good enough for pop star Britney Spears.Spears, who is all set to perform in the capital on November 11 to kick off the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix festivities, tweeted recently: “Been dying to visit this city ever since I saw the Sex & the City 2 movie. So excited to bring the FF tour to the Yas Arena in Abu Dhabi! (Sic)”. What Spears probably doesn’t know is that the movie was never shot in the UAE.After being denied permission to film in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, producers chose Morocco as location but retained Abu Dhabi in the script because they wanted a rich, modern Arab city.Sex and the City 2, a sequel to the 2008 film of the same name, is a spin-off from the hit TV series which ran until 2004. Despite being panned by critics, both films have done phenomenally well at the box office worldwide.
